My Job

Everyday I am really thankful for my job. I really love what I do and how I get to spend my day. I am sitting here now watching my students natter around the classroom with little shrieks of delight as they discover something new or finish a project. They never cease to amaze me with their creativity, wonder, joy and how they are really quite fearless and intuitive. There's a group making peace wrist bands for charity, another little group nattering about how 'gross' whaling is, another few blogging with crinkled brows and one possum in the corner with a huge canvas sketching her thoughts about animal welfare.

I'm thankful that I get to share in their enthusiasm for life. So many people are critical of teenagers, I am in awe of them, I'm energized by them and I am damn lucky to get to spend my day with them and share their stories.

There are two munchkins that I just love, Miss S and Miss E, a friend's little girls. I can't wait to see them at this stage, see what they will create, dream, do. If they are anything like the 23 girls I am watching right now, the world is in seriously good hands.

You go Girls!
